News.

There is always something going on at the CBC. As a club we encourage members to come up with ideas, suggestions on what we can do as a group. Here is a snippet of what we have been up to, what's coming up and any other special mentions.

Toblerone and Trig Points Returns !

The Inaugral version last year saw a win for Sally Long and Dave Long. Duncan Thompson ran them close along with Team John Kirkham.  Alan Taylor gave it a good go individually. Lewis Aston got dragged along and wandered around some fields. This year there WILL be a trophy. So there will be a prize as well as glory....

A Courageous few battled the  Fred Whitton !

A number of our members took on the Fred Whitton for the first time this year and all did exceptionally well. We even had emotional support and encouragement from Trevor Lingard who turned up and give the lads a boost. Most people who say one Fred Whitton is one too many clearly aren't Andrew Gudgeon who turned up with a smile and tackled it for the second time. Stopping to take photos of his day and still managed to finish in under 7he 30mins !?!  Same time again next year Andy ?

Our Annual weekend away at  Conniston yha !

At least once a year we try and have a weekend in the lakes, some kind folk drive up with some of the members clothes while they ride up from Clitheroe, cross over Windermere on the Ferry and drop into Conniston for a weekend of rides and laughter before the cycle back on the sunday.  As usual its planned when the Eurovision song contest is on and a few die hard fans foolishly support our countries ambishions not to finish last again (we did !).

From the amount of photos posted on facebook looks like a fantastic weekend had by all.
